The Draft IDWA Pesticides Notification Plan 2021-2026 provides details for notifying the community when we use pesticides in public places that are owned or controlled by Kiama, Shellharbour City and Wollongong City Councils. The draft plan is now on exhibition and open for public comment.
At the Illawarra District Weeds Authority (IDWA) Ordinary Meeting on 18 June 2021 it was resolved:
To place on public exhibition for a period of 28 days, the IDWA’s draft Pesticides Notification Plan 2021-26.
The Draft Pesticides Notification Plan provides details for notifying the community when we use pesticides in public places that are owned or controlled by Kiama, Shellharbour City and Wollongong City Councils. Giving residents notice about pesticide use allows them to reduce their contact with pesticides if they wish.
Have your say on the draft plan
The Illawarra District Weeds Authority Draft Pesticides Notification Plan 2021-26 is now open for public comment. All residents are being invited to comment on the draft plan. Due to COVID 19 restrictions the draft plan will only be available for viewing through the websites of Wollongong City, Shellharbour City, Kiama Municipal Council and the Illawarra District Weeds Authority ( https://www.isjo.org.au/idwa#https://www.isjo.org.au/idwa ). The draft plan will be available for viewing from 11th August 2021 to 7th September 2021.
